My personal experience of salvation began as a young child through the influence of my parents. I asked the Lord to come into me at a young age, but I truly experienced and reaffirmed my salvation during a sixth grade mountain trip. My experience has been similar to most other young people raised in Christian homes--sometimes up, and sometimes down. I would say that the times I have felt closest to the Lord have been during the hard times--especially related to school; but the Lord provides everything I need inwardly, and since He is in my spirit, I know He is always there.
As I get older, I hope that He will strengthen my love for Him and that He will be so real to me at all times. My life is in God's hands and I know that all things work together for good to those who love God (Romans 8:28).
